Sights along The Way & other news

 Posted by VQT

After a leisurely breakfast we set off in a very fine mist.  Again it wasn’t bad enough for pack covers or rain jackets.  Cooler temperatures now and for the next week or so (the range will be from the low 50s to low 80s.).

The cover of our Credencial that we fill with stamps to prove we walked.  This will be reviewed in Santiago de Compostela when we apply for our Compostela.

Our stamps from the past week.  Stamps are available at hotels, cafes/bars, churches etc.

Hermitage built into the side of the cliffs.

Metal sculpture of a farmer with wheat shafts.

Linda at a Camino mile marker.  548Km to Santiago translates to 340 miles.

More sunflower art.  This time an arrow.

We are still carrying that tiny can of gherkin pickles - we are waiting for the day we have a cheese sandwich to put them on.  And we’ve added a tiny can of salted & toasted sunflower seeds to our snack horde.  After seeing so many fields of sunflowers the craving for sunflower seeds is rather intense.
