It’s the Weekend

 Posted by LP

We walking past thousands of rows of vines - at first we were wondering why the vineyards were closed, then we realized….it’s Saturday- lots of recreational cyclists as well as Camino cyclists 🚲

We began early, while it was still chilly (and misty in the hills), by the time we reached out destination, it was sunny and breezy - a pleasantly short walk with limited changes in elevation

On the 1km path leading up to the only town we walked through today, while we were anticipating breakfast, there was an art display, here are a couple;

Photo - photo of a blue door (bit of a disappointment)
Photo - photo of an older person’s hand holding an old photo of several young women
Photo - photo of two older people looking out of window

And here are a few photos not from the art exhibit;

Photo - a piece of art hanging in the cafe we had breakfast = a drawing of the stamp (sello) and ink pad - pilgrims need two stamps per day, so we are always on the look out
Photo - row of vines, thick with grapes
Photo - VQT taking photos of the views
Photo - graffiti = “Happyness real only when shared” Christopher McCandless
Photo - graffiti = We are all the same kind
Photo - LP next to painting of books on shelves - several murals like this surrounded what appeared to be a flour mill we passed in the way into town

  1. The two old ladies looking out the window are hilarious. Did you taste the grapes?

  2. Ooh. All that potential wine! I love your pics of art, especially the seemingly casual stuff.
