Hotel with dubious style

 Posted by VQT

Since several people asked in comments about last nights hotel here are some photos.  If you’ve read Harry Potter or seen the movies the staircases reminded me of those staircases - they didn’t move - but they seemed to go in all different directions and not take you anywhere you really wanted to go.

One part of a long hallway.

A sitting area - it was very deep and far end doesn't show in photo.  It was off of the long hallway.

Entry way.

A very wide staircase with marble stairs painted pink with a red braided rope handrail that had two doors at the bottom - one to the outside the other to an unknown area of the building.

Another photo of the long hallway.

This was the reception area where both the hotel and Albergue people checked in.   This was not the bar - it was downstairs somewhere.  Very confusing on how to get to the bar and getting to the bar is very important to us.

Dining room.  I’m still not sure how we found this area.

Another section of the dining area.

Quite an assortment of styles.  But, our room was large and comfortable.

  2. That place is unbelievable. Like a movie set. We are so spoiled in US - marble slippery stairs with only a beautiful image of a phantom handrail. So much fun to explore- I bet you had a WOW every time you find another hallway and room.

  4. That's often called eclectic charm. Or chaotic construction. Fun either way.
