“Climb Every Mountain” 🎵
Posted by LP
It was beautiful, it was hard earned - we walked 13+ miles, but most of it was very uphill!
Photo - statue at top of mountain in May 2022, notice the misty, foggy background ….it was very cold and wet when we were here beforePhoto - LP with the same statue this year…..sunny and bright today, with fantastic views
Photo - LP with trinket seller today
Photo - LP with the same person 3 years ago
Photo - VQT in 2022 with the woman in the shop who helped us out when we booked a hotel in the wrong place (600 miles away in a town with the same name!) - she is still there and sold us a bottle of vino tinto to enjoy with our Camino picnic = cheese, crackers and fruit)
Photo - “you did it! 💚” written on the rocks at the top of the mountain
Photo - VQT next to the “Welcome to Galicia” sign, the final semi-autonomous region we are walking through
Photo - the first Galician mile marker….very good at letting pilgrims know how many miles to Santiago - this sign says 169,948 kms to go = about 100 miles to walk
Photo - the view from the top of the mountain
Photo - another view from the top of the mountain
Photo - green door and green shuttered window on house with climbing plants
Photo - 6 dogs in trailer….probably on their way to a wild boar hunt
Photo - the first photo today = a pile of large pumpkins
Vistas, green doors, dogs, sunny skies, 100 miles to go, big-ass hill completed. Check--times 6. Well done!

Just looking at the pictures I wonder if late Summer/Fall is a better time to walk the Camino. Anyway the weather looks gorgeous. PN
