Burgos - The Cathedral

 Posted by VQT

Wow!!!  The Cathedral is huge.   It’s hard to capture in photos.  The spires against the blue sky were spectacular.

Exterior of The Cathedral.

Another photo of the exterior.

And a photo from the back.

We had wine with Tina in the plaza with this in the background.

I took photos of cherubs and other objects.  The ceilings are so high my iPhone isn’t able to get a good photo.

A fat cherub.

A curly coated marble dog on a crypt.

One of the gold mantles (?).

A fat stone cherub.

I have no idea what this area is called or what it was used for.

Two more cherubs.

Stained glass window.

A massive chandelier.

I’m sure a google search would show many photos of this cathedral if anyone is interested in seeing more photos.

We’ve had a long day.  We walked 15 miles to Burgos in 6 hours with two stops.  Then we went to the pharmacy, bank, cathedral, souvenir shop, laundromat, ate a late lunch and met Tina all of which increased our daily mileage to 18.

  1. Magnificent place! It deserved a little extra mileage! I hope you both are happy and well, and get a good night's sleep.
