12 miles, 33,000 steps, 6 hours (including rest stops)

 Posted by LP

Doesn’t matter how long the mileage, the last couple of miles are always a slog - here are a few photos:

Photo - crocheted clover….we’ve been seeing these in several places
Photo - sticker on road sign, “Every step with your symptoms is an opportunity to listen your soul”
Photo - friends (from Taiwan, The Netherlands, and US) at cafe break this morning with VQT and LP
Photo - we passed a harvested wheat field with hundreds (not exaggerating) of sheep cleaning up the weeds, this lady found the ivy at the edge of the field and was unperturbed by the pilgrims/hikers passing by
Photo - VQT taking photo of sunrise soon after we left hotel at 7.30 am

Photo - VQT checking our hotel plans on the phone at cafe this morning at 7am breakfast = freshly squeezed orange juice and pastry

This is the day so far - we are at our destination city - we have a hotel room - we will soon have a shower - will meet up with Camino friends for dinner and drinks…..life is good on the Camino 💚

  4. Hello ladies! It’s Arlene and Simon. I think our paths might not cross again along this Camino. Today we are in Logrono and tomorrow Navarrette because we split the next two stages due to high kms. But who knows? Buen Camino. PS: Simon is wearing his bracelet 💪🏼 🤭

  5. Those were Manchega sheep. Perhaps some Manchego cheese would go well with your pickles.
