Church bells.
Rain late yesterday and last night. Ate dinner on a covered stone patio and this church was across the road.
Today we have a short walk of approximately 8 miles. Headed to Cobreces. A small town that the guidebook says, “lights up with color”. I’m assuming the houses are painted?
First thing is of course is 1st breakfast. After that we’ll find the Camino shells (markers) that we’ll be following for the next 4 weeks and start towards Santiago.

You’re on your way! I’m curious about Cobreces and how it “lights up with color.” Maybe lights at night?
ReplyDeleteA little research… Steppe Bison were indigenous to the Altamira region between 12,000 BCE and 4,000 BCE. Their extinction was likely caused by human consumption. European Bison have been reintroduced in southern Spain to assist with land management (grazing.) Fascinating!
ReplyDeleteDenise - thanks for the research.
DeleteAnd so it begins... May this Camino journey be satisfying and safe. JK
