Misty, sunny, cloudy, breezy
Posted by LP - we’ve had a wide range of weather today - it began very misty, could not see much, made me think of what we hear….songbirds of all kinds; the distant rumble of vehicles; sometimes we hear tractors or farm equipment; the burble of streams and rivers as we cross on ancient bridges; the click of my walking poles on the ground; the squish of our shoes in mud; the murmur of conversation of other pilgrims (usually Spanish, but sometimes other accents and languages) as other pilgrims pass us by (or very occasionally as we pass other pilgrims); the breeze knocking acorns, walnuts, horse chestnuts or other potential perils from the trees; the rumble of our stomachs when we are keen to stop for lunch….all very noisy for walking through the countryside
A charmingly decorated (green with a blue tit and flowers) bread (“pan”) box for daily deliveries A stream gurglingA Camino sign with extra information (such as miles to Santiago = 267 km), mileage to water, etc
A derelict round building (don’t know what it was in its prime)
Green doors resting against a wall - I can hardly believe they are not so prized as to be left aside
A cat resting in the sunshine on black plastic (I assume it is protecting silage)
Flowers everywhere….in gardens, by the side of the road, just everywhere (here are marigolds against the blue sky)
Spiders web covered with early morning mist
The climb was so steep this morning that we peaked above the clouds
Beautiful!! Even with the huff puff!
