It’s a dog’s world.

One thing traveling makes me aware of is the difference in a dog’s world from what I see at home.  We are walking through rural Spain - many of the dogs we see are working farm dogs.  They have a job.  We see many small fluffy pampered pets but outside larger cities the dogs are protecting property and livestock.

This terrier mix has claim to the sofa on the front porch.  Perfect to watch Camino people walking by.

Oops.  Not a dog house.  It’s for the geese and ducks.

  1. I remember visiting Bri at the first farm she worked at and they had just gotten a new dog. She said we couldn’t pet it, was training to be a work dog and protect the livestock. Ev
