From the sublime to the rediculous
Posted by LP
Sublime = perfect walking weather (sunny but not hot); low expectations (only walking a few miles); clean clothes; lots of time; fantastic scenery
Ridiculous = abundant geographical confidence; interest in shiny objects (easily distracted); selecting a hotel with Rural in its name and expecting it to be in the town; thinking plans will go as originally considered
Goat eating thistles - on the coastal path, sheer cliff drop to the seaCamino Coastal Path (alternative route) sign - lots on some parts of the path, zero signs on other parts
VQT standing on old stone bridge (think how many pilgrims have crossed the river by the bridge?….immeasurable)
Sign outside house - picture of a dog - it says, “Never mind about the dog, beware of the owners”
Absolutely wonderful coastal scenery, huge waves crashing into cliffs
Donkey in field wearing a bell - we’ve heard and seen bells on cattle, sheep, horses, etc.
Maybe y’all should wear bells too so you won’t keep getting lost!
ReplyDeleteGoats and donkeys are good company on an ambiguous path. I hope tomorrow brings you a better marked journey...and decent meals.
