Chickens “doing time”

Posted by LP - I always stop to say hello to chickens (horses, cows, sheep and goats, etc., too) - we often hear chickens long before we see any…cockerels doing “their thing” all times of the day - I have this image of the leaders of the gangs, one in each farm on the opposite sides of the road, badmouthing or trash talking each other - which led me onto another image of chickens “doing time” as they are often behind bars:

💚🐓💚

A cockerel coming to see who is intruding on his harem
Hens happily scratching about in their coop
Another cockerel on alert as we approach the coop

This hen was amongst a number of others who were in a field, their scratching and pecking good for the ground
Chickens “doing time” behind bars
Hens coming over to us expecting a treat or two
Several chickens in a field
A hen behind bars
A chicken on a weather vane
Another cockerel coming to check on me as I peek into the coop

  2. What a beautiful, I guess he would prefer handsome, cockerel on your opening photo!!! These chickens beind bars remind me of the Lois & Sue photo behind the fence. That's a brood of chickens. I'm hoping you are getting to enjoy all those fresh eggs!! I can only imagine LP is missing the Virtue Sisters. ;-)
