….and I said to myself, what a wonderful world

Posted by LP

View from one of the many hills we climbed
Another view….we were on the top of the world
Lots of goats (including baby goats)
An old mill (amongst the woods)
We are so high we are right next to the windmills
Fred from Seattle and us (climbing the hills)
Two cows looking through the barn window as we walk past
VQT and vendor at market (where we bought black tomatoes)
We stopped at a vending machine cafe - art on the wall illustrates the towns on the Camino Primitivo route
The vending machine had the usual drinks and snacks, but also Camino ponchos, hats and socks etc
One of the churches we stopped to visit included sales of various items for fund raising…here are some holy nail clippers!
VQT taking a photo in one of churches we visited today
VQT walking one of the very muddy hills we climbed today
LP’s very muddy shoes
As we climbed the muddy hills, concrete pillars holding up roads (what a contrast!)
VQT climbing the first hill of the day = 4 kms straight up
Walking out of Salas this morning, past the castle, at early light

Like I said….what a wonderful world :) 💚

  3. The produce looks great. I hope it’s better eating now in late summer than in early spring. PN
