17 damp miles
Posted by LP - we had our rain gear on and off several times today - all my photos are a bit damp and misty…
Last night (Wednesday) in Oviedo - LP and VQT with stature of Woody Allen (who filmed some of Vicky Christina Barcelona in Oviedo) - apparently he is 5’ 5” so we look tall next to him (see bag of groceries LP is holding, snacks for today/Thursday)
Donkey (with the most magnificent ears) on our walk into GradoCat sleeping on porch of derelict house
River Cubia as we walk into Grado - everything is misty and damp today (17 miles of damp!)
Cow and calf - this is cattle farming country (cows and cow poop everywhere!)
Attractive stone house
Lovely little church in the middle of nowhere
Camino sign - someone has added googly eyes
Camino sign - someone had added a wizard’s hat
We’ve seen lots of Camino signs, today is the first time we’ve seen a sign to show water available
A lovely little green house (door and shutters) we walked past on our way out of Oviedo this morning
“Be Free” sign on the wall of the cafe we stopped at for “first” breakfast
Camino Primitivo sign - the first we saw this morning, our official first day on this route
Long day for you today. Hope there was a good dinner spot too. That looks like a good thing that there is plenty of Camino signage on this way.
ReplyDeleteGlad Primitivo has better signage and food. And, yes, the donkey has spectacular ears!
ReplyDelete17 miles! How are your shoes/feet holding up? DC
ReplyDeleteLovely animals. Sorry bout the poop. Not much further?
