Not a holiday for us

 Posted by LP

Today is a public holiday here, May 17 is Galician Literature Day - it was a tough day for us, but we did it = over 20 miles/32 kilometers, and (I do not exaggerate) lots of it was uphill! - the path was alongside the road in several places, but we saw more tractors than cars - we were so happy (and grateful) to reach our accommodation this evening - here are a few photos from our non-holiday:

VQT walking along the path (we walked a lot today!)
Windmills on the ridge of the hill (so you know it was uphill and breezy!)
VQT walking along the path (we did a lot of walking today!)
We walked past the 45 kilometers marker to Finisterre (we walked a further 7 kilometers, so we are now over half way from Santiago to Finisterre)
LP’s shadow as we walked along a paved part of the path (we did a lot of walking today!)
LP next to a cow advertising a hostel/bar - we stopped for ice cream (we did a lot of walking today!)
Purple foxgloves next to yellow forsythia (according to the color wheel, purple is complimented by yellow)
VQT walking along the path (we did a lot of walking today!)
LP with N from Romania at the hostel where we are staying tonight
Sedum - it is very dramatic
LP walking along the path (we did a lot of walking today!) - look how blue the sky is….there was lots of sun beating down on us!
