Inquiring Minds?

 Posted by VT.

We saw these floating docks in Vigo and couldn’t imagine what they were.  I sent the photo to JK in Tampa who sails because I thought they might be sailing lanes markers and knew she’d have an answer.  JK googled and they are mussel farms.

Description of mussel farms.

Walking we kept seeing these fields of upright granite(?) posts.  Were they old foundation posts?

Realized they are used as support posts for the grapevines.  There are thousands no tens of thousands of these posts.  They add such an old world look to the vineyards.

LP walking under a grapevine arbor.

Last night at dinner had a wonderful talk with the lovely Lithuanian women.  They love to read.  Both LP and VQT also love to read.  We exchanged book recommendations and Vilnius Poker written by a Lithuanian was highly recommended by V and B.  It’s now on my list of books to read.
