A doozy of a day.

 Posted by VT

We were warned that the Finisterre route was not an easy stroll to the coast.  Today there was an uphill section that went on and on and on.  It was 3/4 to a mile uphill - serious inclines.  But, the Camino provides and there was a cafe just as the downhill started.  After a cheese & tomato sandwich, potato chips and a beer we were revived.

The spires of Cathedral of Santiago in the distance.  Looks like Oz.

What a dog!  Perched on his/her wall watching pilgrims walk by.

Crossed over a very old bridge and the river was beautiful.  (I wonder how many times I’ve used the word beautiful to describe the sights we see?)

And yes our funky, weird, odd, strange, quirky hotel has a bar.  Unbelievable!

  3. Oh, my knees hurt just thinking of it. And that handy cafe to recover in. Now I want ice cream.
