Photos from today’s walk

Posted by LP - we walked about 12 miles-ish, all a long , slow uphill into the Cantabrian Mountains - it was cool first thing, but the temperature was in the low 80s after lunch - as ever, we took some photos along the way:

Green door (with pilgrim outline and arrow in direction of El Camino)
Green courtyard - we stopped here for a drink of cold, fresh pressed orange juice (one of our favorite refreshments)
Green door (very old and worn)
Green door and window (very old and well used)
Green door (a particularly nice shade of green)
Marigolds by the roadside (we have begun to see more and more)
Geraniums on a table outside a house where they turned the front room onto a shop (and we bought food for our evening meal as we are staying in a delightful remote location this evening, away from bars and restaurants)
LP buying a Camino trinket from a man outside his house in a remote location (he had carved walking sticks and gourds for sale too)
Green door (with a smaller green door above it)
VQT holding a small dog called Pertunia (the dog was one of several cats and dogs at the front room shop) - VQT would not let me show her face….we both look a bit tired and grubby after walking in rough terrain for 27 days and lots of miles
Sign outside a cafe/bar, it says, “If you want to be happy, help others without a reason” (there are lots of spiritual messages, in many forms, along the Camino)
Green door (with a profusion of red climbing roses)
Two green doors (next to one another)

Thank you for sharing my interest in green doors :)

  5. I LOVE especially the last photo of the 2 green doors with wall. I also of course love the puppy dog photo. SO … I’m starting to think we may be seeing the beginning of the “green metamorphosis” I predicted awhile back. I fully expect that after spending so much time with LP, VQT could return home decked out in green walking pants, green shirt and green scarf… I can see the beginnings of this transition perhaps by interest in green doors??? Pamela just saying

  6. I noted that Cheryl’s comment could be interpreted as similar… lol Pamela
