Cake for Breakfast
Posted by LP - we usually walk an hour or two before breakfast, especially important since we’ve encountered the warmer temperatures - this morning though, we ate breakfast at the Guest House, we had tea, orange juice, toast….and homemade cake - through a conversation via Google Translate, the hostess called it biscuit, it looked like corn bread, VQT called it pound cake, a dense sponge cake to English people….cake for breakfast!
Today’s photo of a green doorChicken and seedling silhouette outside a garden and animal supplies company
A patch of wildflowers, the first we encountered this morning
We heard and saw lots of chickens (and geese) this morning - this photo is a guard dog (a very large dog) protecting chickens
Love the enthusiasm of the guard dog. He is probably dreaming of a nice vacation with a little more excitement. Love all of your posts! Especially green doors and old churches! -P

I assume a green door means something. Good Luck? Linda must be in her element with all the green. PN
ReplyDeleteMilk for the morning cake! In the Night Kitchen by Maurice Sendak. It's the only other reference I've seen to cake for breakfast!
