Cake for Breakfast

Posted by LP - we usually walk an hour or two before breakfast, especially important since we’ve encountered the warmer temperatures - this morning though, we ate breakfast at the Guest House, we had tea, orange juice, toast….and homemade cake - through a conversation via Google Translate, the hostess called it biscuit, it looked like corn bread, VQT called it pound cake, a dense sponge cake to English people….cake for breakfast!

Today’s photo of a green door
Chicken and seedling silhouette outside a garden and animal supplies company
A patch of wildflowers, the first we encountered this morning
We heard and saw lots of chickens (and geese) this morning - this photo is a guard dog (a very large dog) protecting chickens

  1. Love the enthusiasm of the guard dog. He is probably dreaming of a nice vacation with a little more excitement. Love all of your posts! Especially green doors and old churches! -P
