We crossed the Pyrenees!

Posted by LP - photos by VQT - LP walking in the mist, a lively mountain stream, and LP and VQT by the road sign stating Santiago de Compostela 790 km - we experienced steep gradients (up and down), very high winds, rain, mist, cold temperatures and a lot of mud, but we did it - it took 6+ hours of hiking without any significant breaks - we also saw (and heard) birds we could not identify, a beautiful array of wild flowers, and (at the lower elevations) sure signs of Spring - we appreciate the opportunity, we are proud of our accomplishment (especially in relation to the younger hikers) but are glad it is over - only 790 km to go :)
